How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

Your DMCA Notice Must Include
To ensure your notification is valid, it must include the following details:
- Signature β The physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the right being infringed.
- Identification of the Copyright Work β Identification of the copyrighted work or other material claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are involved, please provide a representative list.
- Identification of the Infringing Material β Information sufficient to allow us to locate the material claimed to be infringing.
- Contact Information β Your name, address, email address, and phone number.
- Good Faith Statement β A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy Statement β A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner.
Failure to include all of the above information may result in your DMCA notice being deemed invalid.
Action Upon Receiving a DMCA Notice
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we may promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material without prior notice and without liability. We may also notify the user who posted the material and take further action as required by law.
How to Submit a Counter-Notification
If you believe that content you posted was removed or disabled due to mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. To be effective, it must include:
- Signature β Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the Removed Material β A description of the material that was removed or disabled, along with its location before removal.
- Good Faith Statement β A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Contact Information β Your name, address, telephone number, and email address, along with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court in your district (if in the United States), or any applicable jurisdiction where the site operates, and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party or their agent.
Required Statements
When submitting a DMCA notice or counter-notification, you confirm the following:
- "I have a good faith belief that the content identified above infringes my rights or those of the rights owner, and that its use is not authorized by law."
- "I declare under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and that I am the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the rights described."
